Origin, present and future

Our privileged enclave on the Mediterranean coast of Alicante and our proximity to Gandía and Dénia, ports that maintained trade routes with distant lands such as England or America, led to the emergence in Gata de Gorgos of craft industries of products derived from its agriculture. In the middle of the 20th century, José Signes Pedrós, driven by the commercial boom and his entrepreneurial spirit, wanted to add his own particular stamp to a new brand of hats called SIGNES.
